Minority Report series in pipeline

Tom Cruise starred in Minority Report, which is being adapted for TV

Steven Spielberg is apparently making a TV series based on his hit movie Minority Report.

The Wrap reported that the Oscar-winner has hired Godzilla writer Max Borenstein to work on the small screen adaptation of the 2002 movie, which starred Tom Cruise and Samantha Morton.

The futuristic film saw Hollywood star Tom play the head of a PreCrime police unit that used psychics to help predict murders before they happened, meaning potential killers could be locked up before committing a crime.

The Wrap suggested that the TV series could focus on the unit and its work.

So far plans for the weekly series are in the early stages and no potential cast members have been mentioned.
