Dominic Monaghan is to star as a bank robber in the film Molly Moon, according to reports.
The film is an adaptation of British writer Georgia Byng's series of children's fantasy novels about an orphan who can hypnotise others, Variety said.
Snow White And The Huntsman actress Raffey Cassidy will play the orphan Molly.
The film sees Lord Of The Rings and X-Men Origins: Wolverine actor Dominic's bank robber character attempt to steal a precious book on hypnotism from Molly.
Christopher Rowley, who made 2006 film Bonneville, will direct.
Next year Dominic is set to appear in the thriller Deep Burial and Monster Butler, starring Gary Oldman.
