Moretz: Expect romance for Hit-Girl

Chloe Moretz says Hit-Girl will be more grown up in Kick-Ass 2

Chloe Moretz has revealed there will be romance for her character Hit-Girl in Kick-Ass 2.

The 16-year-old actress has just finished filming the sequel to the hit comic book action film co-starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. The last film ended with child assassin Mindy Macready - aka Hit-Girl - befriending superhero Kick-Ass.

Chloe revealed of the sequel: "There's going to get a bit more romance, a much more grown up Mindy Macready. Someone who's questioning themself and whether they are a villain, assassin or a vigilante and a hero. So there's a lot of tormented inner self, it's interesting."

Chloe said she had really enjoyed going back to the role, which shot her to fame aged just 14.

She said: "It's been amazing revising the character and showing her more grown up and more adult and more put together. It's been a lot of fun."

And Chloe - who was named Future Icon at the Elle Style Awards - admitted growing up in the public eye had been "interesting" for her too.

She added: "I have an amazing support group around me, my mom and my brother who are with me tonight and I'm just very lucky to be loved and blessed to be a part of this business."
