Oscar-nominated actress Carey Mulligan has been named the best dressed woman of the year by a leading fashion glossy.
The star, who has appeared in An Education and Never Let Me Go, was a cut above the other style icons, according to Harper's Bazaar.
She triumphed ahead of figures such as Victoria Beckham and model Yasmin Le Bon.
The Prime Minister's wife Samantha Cameron was also listed - ahead of Kate Moss and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Mulligan has been admired for her style since she hit the big time and was seen on the Oscars red carpet earlier this year wearing an unusual gown threaded with dozens of metallic items.
Fashion designer Erdem Moralioglu, who was on the judging panel, said of the actress's style: "So Sixties French New Wave - like a Godard starlet - but totally modern."
Other judges included milliner Stephen Jones and Harper's Bazaar, Editor-at-large, Kim Hersov. The list is featured in the December issue of Harper's Bazaar.
