Mulligan to head into The Fury
Carey Mulligan is in "early talks" to star in drama The Fury.
The Oscar-nominated actress would reunite with screenwriter Abi Morgan, following their previous collaboration on Steve McQueen's Shame, reported Deadline.
The Fury, which would be a co-production between Focus Features and Film 4, will be directed by Brick Lane's Sarah Gavron.
It is centred around the suffragist movement in the UK in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and will feature key figures from the women's enfranchisement movement.
Carey, who last starred as Daisy Buchanan in Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby, will next star as folk singer Jean Berkey in the Coen brothers' musical biopic Inside Llewyn Davis.
The 28-year-old, who is married to Mumford And Sons' frontman Marcus Mumford, is also attached to play Bathsheba Everdeen in Thomas Vinterberg's big-screen adaptation of Thomas Hardy's novel, Far From The Madding Crowd, alongside Matthias Schoenaerts, Tom Sturridge and Juno Temple.
