Mum's the word for Oscar night

Producers of the Academy Awards ceremony want to include 'mom-inees', into the Oscar show

Mothers will share the limelight with their A-list offspring in this year's Academy Awards ceremony.

Producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer said they will incorporate nominees' mothers, who they call "mom-inees", into the Oscar show.

Producers are looking for nominees' mothers to post updates on Twitter and to appear during the 90-minute pre-show programme, they said during the 30th annual Oscar nominees luncheon at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Cohen said the input from nominees' mothers will be "a really fun and beautiful thing".

But the broadcast will still come in under three hours and 10 minutes, academy president Tom Sherak said.

The 83rd annual Academy Awards will be presented on February 27.

No matter how stringently your loved ones warn you, that won't stop you pursuing a romantic interest. You're utterly captivated by someone who exudes warmth, charisma and drama. The two of you get along very well, but beware of the financial toll this relationship will take. The object of your affection likes expensive things. If you're not able to provide them with the luxuries they crave, there will be problems. Then again, you have the potential for being a good provider, so all may be well.More
