Murphy for Rocky Horror remake?

Ryan Murphy has been linked to a big screen remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Ryan Murphy, the creator of Glee, has been approached about directing a remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, according to reports.

The news comes as his Glee stars have filmed an episode of the TV show which is devoted to the cult classic.

Deadline said that Ryan was being courted by Fox 2000 to direct a feature film remake of the 1975 musical, which originally featured Tim Curry and Susan Sarandon.

But the Glee writer already has a busy calendar - he is writing and is set to direct a romantic comedy that will feature Julia Roberts, star of his film Eat Pray Love.

He is also set to direct Mark Ruffalo in The Normal Heart, a feature adaptation of the Larry Kramer play about Aids.
