Natalie Portman has reportedly been in talks to star in her first film since the birth of her son Aleph in June.
The 30-year-old actress has been considering the lead role in independent drama Adaline according to movie industry website ItsontheGrid.com
The film, co-starring Angela Lansbury, tells the story of a woman who was born at the turn of the 20th century who has found herself ageless after being in an accident and lives a life of solitude. But she meets a man and falls in love and must decide if he is worth giving up her mortality for.
Natalie won an Oscar earlier this year for her performance in Black Swan, the film where she met her choreographer fiance Benjamin Millepied.
A representative for the producers told movie blog TheWrap.com that talks did take place with Natalie, but they were "informal."
