Neeson to Escape From New York?

Liam Neeson is reportedly being considered for a role in Escape From New York

Liam Neeson may star in a forthcoming remake of Escape From New York.

The Taken star is one of the actors apparently being considered for the role of Snake Plissken, reported Deadline.

Jeremy Renner, Gerard Butler and Tom Hardy were previously linked to the role in a planned reboot, while The Crazies' Breck Eisner was in line to direct.

Kurt Russell portrayed the eyepatch-wearing, bank-robbing convict, who was given the mission to rescue the US President (played by Donald Pleasence) and gain his freedom in John Carpenter's 1981 post-apocalyptic thriller.

Silver Pictures and Studio Canal are now reportedly teaming up to make a possible trilogy, beginning with an origin story.

The search for a writer is now on.

Liam, who was named Irish Man of the Year by the New York City Council, will next star in Non-Stop with Julianne Moore. He will be in Paul Haggis' The Third Person with Olivia Wilde, and has a voice-acting role lined up in Lego: The Piece Of Resistance.

He is also set to voice a villainous raccoon in The Nut Job, and is to star in crime thriller A Walk Among The Tombstones.

Gemini:

This is a good time to establish a routine. Create a schedule that strikes a nice balance between your personal and professional lives. You're the type of person who needs plenty of intellectual stimulation outside of work. If you've been spending too much time at the office, reduce your hours. This may mean less money, but you can't put a price on happiness. You might even decide to take a job with unconventional hours so you can play sports or spend more time outdoors.More
