Lindsay Lohan is continuing on her comeback trail by landing a role in a new indie thriller.
The troubled starlet - whose career has been upstaged by legal and personal problems in recent years - looks set to star alongside porn actor James Deen in The Canyons, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The movie about a group of young people who get involved in sex and crime in LA was penned by Bret Easton Ellis, who revealed the casting news on Twitter.
He tweeted: "Shooting THE CANYONS starring James Deen and Lindsay Lohan: July 9-31 in L.A. Could not have dreamed of a better cast. Lindsay nailed it..."
Li-Lo, 25, will play the girlfriend of Deen's character, a wealthy man who wants to be a filmmaker.
The actress has been busy trying to rebuild her career for several months. Lindsay's comeback bid has already seen her guest host comedy sketch show Saturday Night Live and she is currently shooting TV movie Liz & Dick, in which she plays late screen legend Elizabeth Taylor. She also recently made a cameo appearance in television show Glee.
