Nicolas Cage has signed up to star in new revenge thriller Tokarev.
The National Treasure star will play Paul Maguire, a reformed criminal trying to find his daughter's kidnappers and avoid falling back into his past, Deadline reports.
The film is being directed by Spanish film maker Paco Cabezas as his US directorial debut.
Ghost Rider star Nicolas is due to appear in thriller Frozen Ground with John Cusack and Vanessa Hudgens later this year, as well as indie drama Joe.
There were rumours he was in talks to star in The Expendables 3 but Sylvester Stallone denied that Nicolas was involved.
