Nicholson 'difficult to be with'

Anjelica Huston has spoken about her relationship with Jack Nicholson

Anjelica Huston has spilled the beans on her relationship with ex-boyfriend Jack Nicholson.

The Addams Family star had an on-off relationship with Jack from 1973 to 1990, and the couple starred together in The Postman Always Rings Twice and Prizzi's Honor.

"Sometimes it was wonderful, and sometimes not - he was great company; sharp, very astute, very amusing, he loves people, loves to talk, he's very gregarious, but he's also a very private man and often difficult to be with," she told Empire.

"(It was mainly difficult) because of the sheer intensity of the attention he caused, not that he asked for it but that he drew to him because of who he was."

Anjelica often felt like she was living in Jack's shadow.

"Resentment would come up", she revealed. "All the phone calls were for him and all the scripts that came through the door were for him, all the books and all the proposals and propositions. That's a losing game, to be a competitor in that atmosphere."

She added: "Everything that went on in Jack's house was about Jack. And if you have ambitions, it's hard to get them jump-started in a situation like that. I needed my own space."

Virgo:

Spending time on your own will be rewarding. You're an extremely conscientious person who is hyperaware of your surroundings. Sometimes this sensitivity can inhibit you from doing what you really want. You're afraid of offending people with your bold ideas. Instead of repressing your instincts, obey them. If you've developed a romantic interest in someone special, make your move. Playing the aggressor will boost your confidence. Keep your conversations light and playful.More
