Kristen Stewart will not be starring in the Snow White And The Huntsman prequel.

Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron will reprise their roles as Eric the huntsman and Ravenna the wicked queen in The Huntsman, which will follow their lives before they meet Snow White.

Three-time Oscar nominee Frank Darabont, who directed The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile, will direct the follow-up, which he also wrote, reported Collider.

Earlier drafts of the screenplay were worked on by Craig Mazin and Evan Spiliotopoulos.

The Huntsman, produced by Joe Roth, has been set for a 2016 release.

There had been doubts about Kristen's Snow White role in the film, following her affair with director Rupert Sanders during the making of the first movie.
