Norton joins Keaton in Birdman

Edward Norton is being linked to comedy Birdman

Edward Norton has apparently signed on for Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's dark comedy Birdman.

The American History X star has joined the cast of the film, which already includes Michael Keaton, Emma Stone, Naomi Watts and Zach Galifianakis, reported Deadline.

Batman star Michael has been cast to play an actor who once played an iconic superhero, as he prepares to make a Broadway play in a bid to reclaim past glory.

Edward is tipped to play the lead stage actor in the play, whose ego threatens the former actor's comeback. Naomi will star as an actress in the play, while Emma will play the daughter of Michael's character.

The Hangover's Zach will play the producer of the stage show.

Production on Birdman is expected to begin in New York in April.

Edward, who was previously seen in Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom and The Bourne Legacy, is to reunite with Wes again for his next film, The Grand Budapest Hotel.

This isn't a good time to make travel plans. Weather conditions and work responsibilities have a way of wreaking havoc with your schedule. Wait another few days before putting down a hefty deposit. Working behind the scenes will yield significant rewards. If someone asks you to serve as their assistant, go ahead and accept. The pay will be excellent and there will be a lot of fringe benefits, too. Don't talk about a neighbour's private life in mixed company.More
