Now You See Me sequel in pipeline

Lionsgate is pulling a Now You See Me sequel out of the hat.

Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Morgan Freenman, Woody Harrelson, Sir Michael Caine and Mark Ruffalo star in the film about gifted magicians lured into a bank robbery.

The heist thriller, directed by Louis Leterrier, has become a surprise box office hit around the world, and has already made almost £165 million around the world.

CEO Jon Feltheimer announced the plans to make a sequel as he discussed with analysts how the studio's earnings for the first quarter had exceeded expectations, Variety reported.

It is not known if any of the stars of the first film will reprise their roles in the follow-up.
