Olsen's Avengers role confirmed?

Elizabeth Olsen has long been linked to the Scarlet Witch role

Elizabeth Olsen's casting in the upcoming Avengers sequel has apparently been confirmed by the film's star Samuel L Jackson.

The Martha Marcy May Marlene actress has long been rumoured to be in line to play the Scarlet Witch in The Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

And while the casting hasn't been officially announced, Samuel - the Avengers' Nick Fury - apparently spilled the beans during an interview with the Wall Street Journal.

Talking about the new film, the actor said: "I don't think we begin shooting before March of next year.

"I know we're shooting in London, that James Spader is Ultron and going to be the bad guy, and that we added Ms Olsen, but I don't know what she's doing, if she's on the inside or the outside. I haven't seen a script."

The Marvel movie is due to be released in 2015.

Avengers Assemble stars Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner are all expected to return.
