Ora to play Dornan's screen sister

Rita Ora has a role in Fifty Shades Of Grey

Rita Ora has revealed she is joining the cast of the Fifty Shades Of Grey film, as Christian Grey's sister Mia.

The Shine Ya Light singer announced the news that she would star opposite the film's stars, Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, on social networking site Twitter before she stepped out at the 2013 British Fashion Awards in London.

"It's official! I've been cast in @FiftyShades of Grey as Christian's sister Mia. #FiftyShades," she tweeted.

The 23-year-old Kosovan-born star will play the adopted younger sister of kinky billionaire Christian Grey, who will be portrayed by Jamie.

Dakota will play student Anastasia Steele, who embarks on a passionate affair with him.

Victor Rasuk will play Jose Rodriguez, Anastasia friend and Christian's love rival, while Eloise Mumford, Luke Grimes, Jennifer Ehle and Max Martini round out the rest of the cast.

The big-screen adaptation of EL James' novel, which will be directed by British filmmaker Sam Taylor-Johnson, has started shooting in Vancouver and is expected to be released in cinemas in February 2015.

Rita's Fifty Shades role comes after her cameo in Fast And Furious 6 and her appearance in British film Spivs in 2004.
