Owen Wilson revealed he was fired from a summer job for taking a dip in the pools he was supposed to be cleaning.

The actor recalled getting the sack as he attended the premiere of new comedy The Internship, starring Owen and Vince Vaughn as unemployed salesmen who decide to reinvent themselves by becoming interns at Google.

Owen revealed on the red carpet: "I was pool cleaner one summer and I wasn't the greatest pool cleaner so they let me go... The problem was my route had all these huge pools, plus it's so hot in the summer in Texas, I had an unorthodox style of cleaning where sometimes I would get into the pool, and I think that kind of threw some of the home owners, to look out and see their pool man swimming in the pool, but hey, that was my strategy."

Owen and Vince admitted it was great to be working together again after starring in hit comedy Wedding Crashers in 2005.

Vince said: "It's always fun to work with Owen because I'm such a fan of his."

Owen said: "I couldn't believe it had been so long!"

Your Horoscopes by Russell Grant

Gemini:

Don't bring your work home with you. Although you're wonderfully efficient in your job, you require different skills when dealing with friends and family. Be generous with your praise, resources and encouragement. Someone who is struggling needs moral support. Giving a lecture about personal responsibility will not help. Instead, lend a sympathetic ear. Ask questions. Picture things from the other person's point of view. A receptive attitude will strengthen your relationship.More
