Page: Bump kept me cosy during film

Joanna Page said her fake baby bump kept her warm

Joanna Page has revealed she didn't want to give back the prosthetic bump she wore while filming Nativity 2.

The actress - who recently announced she is expecting a baby with her husband, Emmerdale's James Thornton - donned the prop to play a mum-to-be in the festive movie.

And she confessed: "It was fantastic because it was really warm. When we were filming it was freezing cold and I had this massive big plastic thing which stuck straight onto my skin, so you can imagine how much you sweat in it.

"They'd say, 'Do you want a little cashmere thing to put between your skin and the bump?' and I'd say 'No, I really like it when it gets hot and sweaty and it sticks to me, because it just makes me warmer'.

"It was really nice and warm. I could have kept it and used it as a hot water bottle."

Joanna - who said she is "just very happy and excited" about her real-life pregnancy - stars alongside David Tennant and Marc Wootton in the film, the follow-up to 2009's Nativity.

She said of her on-screen husband David: "He's really, really lovely. All the film was improvised, David was brilliant to work with, really exciting and interesting, and a really laid-back, funny fella. I was laughing a lot."
