Palmer to join Point Break remake

Teresa Palmer could star in the Point Break remake

Teresa Palmer is in talks to star in the Point Break remake.

The Warm Bodies actress could share the big screen alongside Edgar Ramirez and Luke Bracey in the upcoming reboot of the 1991 action thriller, reported Deadline.

Luke is already on board to play FBI Agent Johnny Utah in the role originally played by Keanu Reeves, while Edgar is to portray thrill-seeking robber Bodhi, the character originally played by Patrick Swayze.

Ray Winstone has been cast as FBI Agent Angelo Pappas, played by Gary Busey in the original.

The new version, which Ericson Core will direct and Kurt Wimmer is to write, sees an undercover FBI agent infiltrating a criminal ring like the original, and is set in the world of international heists and extreme sports.

Production is scheduled to start on June 26, with shooting taking place in Germany, Austria, Italy, Mexico, Venezuela, French Polynesia and India.

Teresa, who previously starred in zombie comedy Warm Bodies and The Sorcerer's Apprentice, will next be seen in director Terrence Malick's Knight Of Cups with Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett and Natalie Portman.

The 28-year-old Australian actress is also attached to John Hillcoat's Triple Nine alongside Kate Winslet, Casey Affleck and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
