Paltrow: I cut back on lead roles

Gwyneth Paltrow has cut back on her leading roles

Gwyneth Paltrow has said she is more interested in "supporting-size parts" now - so she can spend more time with her children.

The Contagion actress and her Coldplay frontman husband Chris Martin are parents to Apple, seven, and Moses, five, and Gwyneth doesn't want to miss any part of their growing up.

She told the Daily Mirror: "I just had the summer off and with them and now they're back to school again. Then what I'll do is look for more interesting supporting-size parts. I haven't starred in a movie since I had my daughter seven years ago because it's too much. I would never see them and there's no point.

"So, if I get a good supporting part, it either means I do a few weeks of work and then I'm done, or it's two days this week, one day next week and so on. That's how I plan it."

Gwyneth also revealed her acclaimed all-singing, all-dancing role in Glee had given people a glimpse of the real her.

"I think people were happy to see me as I really am - the silly, singing and dancing side. That's what I'm like with my kids.

"I felt like I'd never had parts that really showed that side of myself, so it's been fun."

If you're not able to provide them with the luxuries they crave, there will be problems. Then again, you have the potential for being a good provider, so all may be well.More
