Partridge Alpha Papa sequel planned

Alan Partridge is to return in another film, it has been confirmed.

Star Steve Coogan will reprise the role of the Norfolk DJ in a sequel to last year's Alpha Papa, which took the box office by storm.

Henry Normal, co-founder of Steve's production company Baby Cow, also told The Guardian that a new series is planned for Sky Atlantic.

He revealed "We are planning a sequel [to Alpha Papa], yes, that will be great.

"We are also looking at doing more Mid Morning Matters and another Sky special, a little bit like Coast with Alan Partridge, except I don't think he goes out of Norfolk. I think it's things of interest in Norfolk, that's the general theme."

He said writing was due to start immediately.

"I think we make it at the end of summer," he added.
