Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have apparently avoided a public encounter by opting out of some upcoming Twilight conventions.
Fans had been hoping to see the stars at the four conventions for the vampire movies, to be held in the US over the next few months, but website Zap2it.com reports that they have decided not to attend.
It isn't known whether the stars opted out following the actress's affair scandal, which saw her admit to cheating on boyfriend Rob with her married Snow White And The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.
Their co-star Taylor Lautner is also unable to attend.
Creation Entertainment told the site: "Although Rob, Kristen and Taylor will not be with us this time out we will have a super line-up of other Twilight stars and the weekend will be filled with special events, movie prop and costume displays, contests, panels, auctions, parties, exclusive merchandise, music and much more, including some surprises!"
R-Patz and Kristen have not been seen together in public since pictures of Kristen with Rupert emerged, and it has been reported that the actress has cancelled an appearance at next month's MTV Video Music Awards, where the pair were due to present an award together.
