Pegg confirms Mission: Impossible 5
Simon Pegg has confirmed he is to star in Mission: Impossible 5.
The British actor will reprise the role of technical specialist and budding field agent Benji Dunn in the next instalment of Tom Cruise's action franchise, which is due out on Christmas Day 2015.
Simon, 43, was asked by MTV if he would be back and replied: "Yes, absolutely. I'm looking forward to that."
He joked: "I've already started eating one carrot a day in order to be in shape."
The actor starred alongside Hollywood heavyweight Tom in the last two movies, 2006's Mission: Impossible 3 and 2011's Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol.
The fifth film will see Tom back as Impossible Missions Force agent Ethan Hunt and there are rumours that Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton and Ving Rhames could return for the movie.
Christopher McQuarrie, who previously worked with Tom on Jack Reacher, will direct the film from a script written by Iron Man 3's Drew Pearce.
As well as M:I5, Simon has also landed a role in a romantic comedy called Man Up, reported Deadline. He will star opposite Lake Bell in the movie, which is due to start shooting in January.
