Penelope Cruz is expecting a baby, the Spanish agency which represents the star said.
The 36-year-old Oscar-winner is four-and-a-half months pregnant, Madrid-based agency Kuranda said in a statement.
The baby will be the first child for Penelope, who tied the knot with Spanish actor Javier Bardem, 41, in the Bahamas in July.
Kuranda gave no more details on Penelope, other than to say she is currently on her way to London to complete filming of Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
Penelope and Javier appeared together in the Woody Allen film Vicky Cristina Barcelona, for which Penelope won the Oscar for best supporting actress in 2009.
In 2008, Javier won the Oscar for best supporting actor for his role in No Country For Old Men.
