Pierce Brosnan: I lost my way in 007 role

Pierce Brosnan

Pierce Brosnan has confessed that he “lost his way” during the nine years he played his most famous role.

The Irish actor said his James Bond stint had left him “tangled up in his ego” and that he was only able to act properly once he had left the franchise.

Pierce, who played the suave secret agent from 1995's Golden Eye to 2002's Die Another Day, made no secret that he would have liked to play Bond again, but he was eventually replaced by Daniel Craig in 2006.

While the 57-year-old's departure from the series had cast a shadow on his career at the time, he admitted that he had felt restricted by the role.

“I felt very shackled by Bond and didn't want to rock the boat,” he said.

Gemini:

Someone will steal credit for your work, which is maddening. Drawing attention to the problem will only make you look petty. You're better off accepting the situation with quiet dignity and grace. Move on to the next assignment, but make sure to sign your name to every piece of work that is submitted. Tell your boss what you are doing on a regular basis. You'll sound like a pest, but at least it's better than getting stabbed in the back.More
