Pierce Brosnan to star in I.T. film

Pierce Brosnan will play a man fighting against technology in a new thriller.

The former James Bond star has bagged the lead in I.T. reported Deadline.

He will play a successful book publisher who "finds himself pitted against a young disgruntled IT consultant who is tech savvy and uses that to threaten the author's family and livelihood".

Movie bosses have yet to cast the actor playing the computer whizz.

I.T. will be directed by Stefano Sollima, who is expected to get to work on the movie in 2014.

Pierce, 60, has several films coming up including spy thriller November Man alongside Dominic Cooper. He's also attached to the role of French king Louis XIV in fantasy-adventure The Moon And The Sun.
