Rosamund Pike has been added to the cast of comedy drama Hector And The Search For Happiness.
The former Bond girl will join Christopher Plummer and Simon Pegg in Peter Chelsom's big-screen adaptation of Francois Lelord's book, reported Collider.
Simon - who is teaming up with Rosamund in Edgar Wright's comedy The World's End - is set to play the titular role of an eccentric psychiatrist who sets out on an "exotic, dangerous and hysterical" quest to find out if happiness really exists.
The actress will play his long-time girlfriend, while Oscar winner Christopher will portray Professor Coreman, the leading guru for Happiness Studies at UCLA.
Production on the film, which is being pitched to buyers at the Toronto International Film Festival, is scheduled to begin in January 2013, once Simon and Rosamund have wrapped The World's End.
Rosamund, who previously played Bond girl Miranda Frost in Die Another Day and has appeared in Johnny English Reborn and Clash Of The Titans, will next star opposite Tom Cruise in Jack Reacher.
