Portman, Theron up for Gone Girl?

Natalie Portman and Charlize Theron are reportedly in the running for the female lead in Gone Girl.

British actress Emily Blunt is also being considered for the part in the upcoming thriller, reported The Wrap.

The film follows a man whose life spirals out of control when his wife disappears and people start to think he killed her.

It has previously been reported that Ben Affleck is in negotiations about the male lead in David Fincher's movie.

Reese Witherspoon is co-producing Gone Girl, which is based on a book by Gillian Flynn, but it seems she will not star in the film.
