Potter still dominates box office
The latest Harry Potter film is still dominating the global box office in its third week of release.
Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 took in another 54.5 million dollars in 46 territories of the international marketplace last weekend, crossing the 700 million dollar mark in global revenue after just 17 days of release.
It's notable that the top three films on the international chart all have family appeal, with Tangled in the second spot with an impressive 20.4 million dollars in just 15 territories and Megamind in third with 12 million in 25 territories.
Figures released by global media measurement company Rentrak Corp. and provided by Hollywood.com show that Japanese sci-fi movie Space Battleship Yamato and Robert Downey Jr road trip comedy Due Date make up the top five.
Outside of the top 10, The Social Network and Red remain popular titles in the international arena as both continue to play well in an impressive number of territories.
