Pratt to join Magnificent Seven?

Chris Pratt is in early talks to be in a remake of The Magnificent Seven.

The Guardians Of The Galaxy star is tipped to play a character named Farraday in the film, reported Deadline.

The 35-year-old actor could be joining Denzel Washington, the first actor to sign up for the new Magnificent Seven.

Antoine Fuqua, who directed Denzel in The Equalizer and Training Day, will take the reins on the reboot of John Sturges' 1960 Western, inspired by Kurosawa's Seven Samurai.

The remake, which has been written by Nic Pizzolatto and John Lee Hancock, will be set in the post-Civil War period, at the end of the Wild West.

The original movie starred Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen and Charles Bronson in the ensemble cast, as a squad of seven elite gunmen determined to protect a town.

Chris, who achieved leading man status this year with Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy and The Lego Movie, will next star in Jurassic World.
