Salma Hayek made the most of her latest family-friendly project, Puss In Boots, by bringing her daughter along to the film's Los Angeles premiere.
The 45-year-old actress brought four-year-old Valentina, who was dressed in a red smock dress, on the red carpet, and said she enjoyed making a movie her child could watch.
"Absolutely - I got to bring my whole family, my daughter is over there. It's an honour to be a part of it," she said.
Salma stars as Kitty Softpaws opposite Antonio Banderas, who reprises his feline character in the spin-off to the Shrek franchise, which starred Mike Myers and Eddie Murphy.
"It's actually great. I'm dying just to see the reaction," he said.
Antonio never expected a new adventure featuring Puss without his sidekicks - Shrek (Mike) and Donkey (Eddie) - would happen.
"I never thought it was going to happen. I miss the actors that I was working with, all of them, I thought they were unbelievable and great," he continued.
"But here he is by himself with another set of wonderful characters and wonderful actors to work with, and I'm very happy to be here."
Puss In Boots fills in the daring feline's back-story, and sees the cat pitted against murderous outlaws Jack and Jill, played by Billy Bob Thornton and Amy Sedaris.
