Rachel Weisz has returned to her hometown of London to begin shooting The Deep Blue Sea.
The Oscar winner, who has made New York her second home with ex-partner Darren Aronofsky and their four-year-old son Henry, will be in and around the capital for around five weeks to work on the adaptation of the Terence Rattigan play of the same name.
In the post-war 50s feature, Rachel stars as the beautiful Hester Collyer, who walks out on her marriage to judge Sir William Collyer (Bafta award winner Simon Russell Beale) and moves in with her lover - dashing young ex-RAF pilot Freddie Page (Olivier award winner Tom Hiddleston).
Directed by Terence Davies, The Deep Blue Sea is set for a release at the end of 2011.
Rachel and Darren announced earlier this month that they had been "separated for some months", but "remain close friends and are committed to raising their son together in NYC".
