Ryan Reynolds is set to star in a new movie about drag-racers.
New Regency is near to closing a deal to buy the film - titled Battle For Bonneville - and the Adventureland actor is attached to star, reports Deadline.
If the project goes ahead, Ryan will team up with Jon Favreau, who is set to direct.
The film follows half-brothers Art and Walt Arfons, who teamed up to set the world land speed record three times in the 60s.
Ryan, 35, who recently tied the knot with Gossip Girl actress Blake Lively, currently has several films in the pipeline including psychological thriller The Voices and RIPD, alongside Jeff Bridges and Kevin Bacon.
