Radcliffe set for Republicans role?

Daniel Radcliffe has been linked to a role in upcoming film College Republicans.

The Harry Potter star is said to be considering playing political campaign manager Lee Atwater in the movie, although he has yet to officially sign up, reported The Wrap.

Daniel's Kill Your Darlings co-star Dane DeHaan is also tipped for a role.

College Republicans is based on true events from 1973, with aspiring politician Karl Rove (the part earmarked for Dane) "running a dirty campaign for national College Republican Chairman under the guidance of campaign manager Lee Atwater".

The script was written by Wes Jones and topped the Black List of Hollywood's favourite unproduced screenplays in 2010.

If Daniel and Dane sign up they will also be reunited with their Kill Your Darlings director John Krokidas, who will be at the helm of the movie.
