Raimi to make The Last of Us movie

Neil Druckmann and Sam Raimi are adapting zombie game The Last of Us for the big screen

Sam Raimi has revealed he is making The Last of Us video game into a film.

The Oz the Great and Powerful director and the game's author, Neil Druckmann, announced the planned adaptation at Comic-Con.

The 2013 action-adventure horror game follows a young woman, Ellie, as she navigates a post-apocalyptic United States plagued by sickness and zombie-like cannibals.

The Evil Dead filmmaker Sam will also produce the project and Neil is writing the script.

The director and cast are yet to be confirmed.
