Rampling: Good to work with youth

Charlotte Rampling enjoys working with younger actors

Charlotte Rampling has said she loves working with younger stars.

The Duchess actress, 66, got her big break in the 1966 film Georgy Girl and has no plans to retire.

"I'm out there now with a lot of young people, because most of my stuff is now with people of my kids' age, and that's fantastic," the mum-of-two said.

"Because they're such a great motor now, you keep up with everything because you're in it with them. So you don't have the time to think, 'Oh, I'm getting on a bit now!'

"You don't think about it, until you sometimes catch yourself in the mirror on a bad day and think, 'Oh'."

Charlotte, who recently starred in the film noir I, Anna, said she keeps an open mind about roles.

"I did StreetDance which was lovely. All the dancing kids around me. I didn't dance, I'm past that probably. I don't know. If you feel that you could be up for anything at any time, then when that particular opportunity happens you're going to say 'Why not?'."
