Redmayne recalls Les Mis dodgy duet

Amanda Seyfried and Eddie Redmayne's romantic duet didn't go too smoothly

Eddie Redmayne has revealed how his Les Miserables co-star Amanda Seyfried put him off during filming for one of their most romantic duets.

The My Week With Marilyn star plays Marius in Tom Hooper's big screen version of the classic show, and Amanda, who played his on-screen lover Cosette, has been dubbed the joker by the rest of the cast.

He recalled: "I remember doing one take. We had these ear pieces in because we were singing live, and the only way we could hear the music was through these ear pieces.

"And we were singing this very romantic duet and it was in my close up, and I was singing with her, and she was singing her part and it was weird - it was slightly out of tune, slightly weird pacing, and all this sort of thing.

"Then at the end it transpired that she hadn't had her ear piece in at all and was too embarrassed to admit it, so she'd been winging it the whole way through the song. Which I thought was really impressive, but she was too embarrassed to admit it.

"So there were moments of bizarre hilarity throughout."

Taurus:

An embarrassing secret will come to light, affecting your reputation. Somebody who once admired you will now turn away in dismay. Instead of trying to win their affection again, lay low for a wee while. You'll make a much better impression by letting your actions speak for themselves. There is a chance this relationship is beyond redemption. If your former friend decides to keep their distance, you will have no other choice than to respect their feelings. Better luck next time.More
