Reedus tipped for The Crow reboot

Norman Reedus is tipped to star in the remake of The Crow

Norman Reedus is apparently in the running for a role in The Crow reboot.

The Walking Dead star is the top choice to play a character called James in the remake of the 1994 fantasy film, according to website Schmoes Know.

The character's role in the plot has not been revealed.

The site also reported that Twilight actress Kristin Stewart was considered for a part, but that it "doesn't seem to be in the works any more".

Fast And Furious 6 actor Luke Evans has the starring role in The Crow, which is about a man who comes back to life as the undead avenger of his and his fiancee's brutal murders.

James O'Barr, creator of the original The Crow graphic novel series, will be a consultant on the film.

The 1994 film was based on O'Barr's comic book series and starred Brandon Lee.

The new version, due to start filming in 2014, will be directed by F Javier Gutierrez.
