Reeves to find The Whole Truth
Keanu Reeves is in "final negotiations" to replace Daniel Craig in courtroom drama, The Whole Truth.
The Matrix star is in line to play a defence lawyer who fights to get his teenage client acquitted of murdering his wealthy father in Courtney Hunt's film, reported Deadline.
Renee Zellweger remains attached to co-star alongside Belle actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw. Super 8 and Kings Of Summer actor Gabriel Basso has been cast as Keanu's client.
Kenneth Choi, who previously appeared in The Wolf Of Wall Street, will play a key supporting role as the state prosecutor.
Bond star Daniel unexpectedly dropped out of the project in April, days before production was slated to start in Boston, and producers are now moving the movie's setting from Boston to New Orleans. Production is now scheduled to begin in July.
The Whole Truth, which has been written by Nicholas Kazan, will be Courtney's follow-up to Oscar-nominated Frozen River, which received a pair of nods for her original screenplay and Melissa Leo's lead performance.
Keanu, the star of films such as Speed, Point Break and The Day The Earth Stood Still, will next be seen in action thriller John Wick alongside Bridget Moynahan and Willem Dafoe.
