Renner gets to Kill The Messenger

Jeremy Renner would play investigative reporter Gary Webb

Jeremy Renner is set to star in thriller Kill The Messenger.

The Oscar-nominated Hurt Locker star is attached to Michael Cuesta's upcoming film, which is based on the true story of journalist Gary Webb, reported Deadline.

Jeremy, who will also produce, is tipped to take the lead to play the news reporter whose career was destroyed after he linked the CIA to a scheme to arm Contra rebels in Nicaragua and import cocaine into California. He was driven to depression and suicide after becoming the target of a smear campaign by the CIA.

Kill The Messenger has been written by Peter Landesman, and is based on two books - Gary's memoir Dark Alliance and Nick Schou's Kill The Messenger.

Production is set to get under way this summer after Jeremy wraps his role in David O Russell's untitled 80s drama.

The 42-year-old, who starred in Avengers Assemble and The Bourne Legacy, will next be seen in Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters with Gemma Arterton.

Gemini:

This is a good time to establish a routine. Create a schedule that strikes a nice balance between your personal and professional lives. You're the type of person who needs plenty of intellectual stimulation outside of work. If you've been spending too much time at the office, reduce your hours. This may mean less money, but you can't put a price on happiness. You might even decide to take a job with unconventional hours so you can play sports or spend more time outdoors.More
