Renner mocks Avengers hosting SNL

Jeremy Renner sent himself up on Saturday Night Live

Jeremy Renner was not afraid to make himself the subject of mockery as he hosted Saturday Night Live at the weekend.

The star of The Bourne Legacy and Avengers Assemble showed off his musical talents and mocked his hard man image, singing and playing the piano as he spoofed his own film roles.

Jeremy opened the show with a joke about how he writes songs for all his films, with a song about The Bourne Legacy set to the tune of Kings Of Leon's Use Somebody.

Another sketch saw him poke fun at his Avengers character Hawkeye, leaving Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk and Black Widow to do all the fighting and saying "I'm out of arrows, so I guess I'm done. I'll be in the car."

Jeremy and fellow special guest Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine proved a huge hit on the show, with ratings rocketing.

Your Horoscopes by Russell Grant

Taurus:

An embarrassing secret will come to light, affecting your reputation. Somebody who once admired you will now turn away in dismay. Instead of trying to win their affection again, lay low for a wee while. You'll make a much better impression by letting your actions speak for themselves. There is a chance this relationship is beyond redemption. If your former friend decides to keep their distance, you will have no other choice than to respect their feelings. Better luck next time.More
