Rob Cohen to reboot Road House

Rob Cohen is set to direct a remake of 1989 film Road House.

The director will reboot the cult hit - which starred the late Patrick Swayze - for MGM, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

So far it isn't known who will star in the film.

The original, which also starred Sam Elliott and Kelly Lynch, followed a bouncer who takes a job in a small town bar and falls foul of a corrupt businessman. It was directed by Rowdy Herrington and produced by Joel Silver.

Rob has previously directed movies including The Fast And The Furious, xXx and Alex Cross.

Road House isn't the only Swayze film getting the remake treatment, as earlier this month it was revealed that his 1990 hit Ghost is being adapted for the small screen.
