Rosamund Pike heads a Long Way Down

Rosamund Pike has joined the cast of A Long Way Down

Rosamund Pike and Sam Neill have joined the cast of dark comedy A Long Way Down.

The latest film adaptation of a Nick Hornby novel, the film is about four strangers who meet on New Year's Eve at the top of a London skyscraper where they all plan to jump off, but they make a pact to stay alive and help each other.

Pierce Brosnan, Toni Collette, Aaron Paul and Imogen Poots have already begun filming, but now Variety reports Rosamund and Sam will be joining them.

Former Bond star Pierce plays a TV personality, About A Boy's Toni has been cast as a stressed single mother, Imogen will play a troubled teenager and Aaron is a failed musician.

It is not known what roles Rosamund and Sam will play.

The film is the English-language debut from French filmmaker Pascal Chaumeil, director of hit French romcom Heartbreaker, starring Vanessa Paradis.
