Robert Pattinson has claimed that he would be too old to play Edward Cullen in any future Twilight films.
The 25-year-old joked that he is already past his prime to portray the heartthrob vampire in any other big-screen adaptations of Stephenie Meyer's novels, at the world premiere of his new film Bel Ami in Berlin, reported the New York Daily News.
"I'd be curious what she would write, but I just think I'd probably be too old by the time (they did it)," he said.
"I'm already too old. But yeah, it'd be kind of interesting," he added.
Robert will reprise his role for the epic finale of the trilogy, in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 this November, alongside Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.
Having starred opposite Reese Witherspoon in Water For Elephants and Emilie de Ravin in Remember Me, his next non-Twilight role sees him in David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis with Paul Giamatti and Juliette Binoche.
