Mark Ruffalo will reportedly star in his own standalone Hulk movie, set on an alien planet.
The Kids Are All Right hunk has proved a hit with fans as Bruce Banner aka The Incredible Hulk in Marvel's ensemble comic book movie Avengers Assemble, and is already confirmed to return in Avengers 2 in 2015.
Now movie blogger El Mayimbe of Latino Review has claimed he has learned the Hulk will star in his own movie, based on the comic book Planet Hulk.
Planet Hulk sees the raging hero voted out of the Avengers, after being deemed a threat to Earth and sent into space. He lands on an alien planet where he is enslaved and forced to compete as a gladiator, but eventually rebels and becomes king of the planet.
It is claimed the story will be set up for the Hulk to leave earth in a third act or post-credits scene at the end of The Avengers 2, due for release in 2015.
The comic book follow-up to Planet Hulk is World War Hulk, and Mayimbe reports that this will be the plot of The Avengers 3, when Hulk and his army return to Earth to battle the Avengers.
Mark, like many of the Avengers stars, has signed a six-picture deal with Marvel to cover sequels and spin-off films.
Marvel executive Kevin Feige told MTV last year the Hulk could star in his own movie after The Avengers 2 and said that Planet Hulk and World War Hulk were "cool stories".
