Russell Brand has apparently admitted he's desperate to bag a role in the new Star Wars trilogy.
It was recently announced that three new Stars Wars movies are in the pipeline after creator George Lucas sold his company to Disney in a £2.5 billion deal.
The British comedian has now confessed he'd love to have a role so his future children could watch their dad in the space films, reported The Sun.
Russell was quoted as saying: "Why wasn't I invited to play Darth Vader? I could be a Jedi! Why have they not invited me to participate?
"I'd do anything like that - to be a Jedi for the children. As yet unborn."
Russell, 37, is no stranger to the silver screen, having appeared in movies such as Get Him To The Greek and Rock Of Ages.
