Russell Crowe on weightloss mission
Russell Crowe has shed over a stone in less than a month on a strict diet and exercise regime.
The 47-year-old Gladiator star, who has reportedly been cast as Superman's biological father Jor-El in Zack Snyder's film Man of Steel, has begun a gluten-free diet and is putting himself through rigorous workouts in a bid to lose three stone in three-and-a-half months.
Russell tweeted: "There is a long way to go, one layer of tissue paper per day of effort and diet... it takes a long time."
He revealed 26 days into his 105 day regime that his weight has already dropped to 220 lbs this morning, and he started at 236.4 lbs.
The Oscar-winning actor has been putting himself through long bike rides, walking and swimming and hours of weight training and is also taking plenty of vitamin supplements to boost his energy.
But Russell also revealed he has been taking breaks from his regime to spend time with his sons, seven-year-old Charlie and five-year-old Tennyson.
