Russell Crowe to be Burton in Rush?
Russell Crowe is apparently being sought after by Ron Howard to make a guest appearance as legendary screen icon Richard Burton.
The Oscar-winning filmmaker is looking to reunite with his Cinderella Man in forthcoming racing drama Rush, which focuses on Austrian driver Niki Lauda's rivalry with English racer James Hunt, reported Screen Daily.
The film, written by Peter Morgan, has already begun moving into first gear, with Chris Hemsworth set to play the British racing driver, and Daniel Bruhl as Niki.
Olivia Wilde is said to have joined the cast as model Suzy Miller, who married James, a notorious ladies' man, before she falls in love and marries Welsh actor Richard.
Filming is expected to get underway in the coming months.
Russell, whose last big-screen outing was in The Next Three Days, will next start shooting Tom Hooper's Les Miserables, where he plays police inspector Javert, but it's thought that Ron would try to fit in his Rush cameo within the musical's schedule.
