Ryan Reynolds would like to see a sequel for RIPD.
The actor, who has just wrapped up work on the upcoming action crime thriller, revealed he hopes it'll become a series, despite the film not being released for another year.
"I'm hoping to be able to work with all those people again. It could be a franchise. We would like it to be. It certainly is set up, plot-wise, for a sequel," he told The Playlist.
"But nobody's signed on for that just yet," he added.
In Robert Schwentke's big-screen version of Peter Lenkov's original comic, Ryan - playing dead police detective Nick Walker - teams up with Jeff Bridges to work for the Rest In Peace Department, to track down the dead on earth.
"Being on set was incredible, because it's a movie project that I've been with for years and believed in. Being able to stick with it is half the battle," Ryan said.
Mary-Louise Parker and Kevin Bacon will also appear in RIPD, which will be released in 2013.
